Wokingham Borough Council collects the black bin (general, non-recyclable household waste) and your green recycling bags (60-litre reusable, sealable bags for paper, card, plastic bottles, pots and tubs, cans, cartons and foil) on alternating fortnightly weeks. Glass is NOT collected at the kerbside — take glass bottles and jars to a bottle bank. Food waste is collected weekly using an indoor caddy and a lockable black outdoor bin. Garden waste goes in a brown bin or sacks on a paid subscription (around £99 a year), collected fortnightly. Present bins and bags by 6:30am on collection day. Homes on narrow routes get recycling boxes instead of bags.
