Never miss a West Berkshire bin day again

West Berkshire runs a sort-at-home recycling service with boxes and a bag, collected fortnightly, and a weekly food caddy. General rubbish goes in a black bin, and the council has agreed to move black bins to a three-weekly cycle.

How West Berkshire bin collections work

West Berkshire Council collects the black bin (general, non-recyclable household waste) fortnightly, and recycling fortnightly across two green boxes and a reusable bag — one box for paper and card, the other (with the bag) for glass, cans and plastics, sorted at the kerbside. Food waste is collected weekly in a green caddy. Garden waste goes in a green wheelie bin on a paid subscription, collected fortnightly. The council has approved a move to three-weekly black bin collections as part of its waste strategy. This information was correct at the time of writing; the council has proposals to change its collection schedule currently under review, so your service may be updated in future. Present containers by 6am on collection day.
