Wealden collects the green recycling bin (some older bins are still black) and the black rubbish bin on alternating fortnightly weeks, with a new weekly food waste service introduced in April 2026 as part of the county-wide East Sussex rollout. The green bin takes glass, cardboard, paper, cans, foil, aerosols, plastic bottles, pots, tubs, trays, film and bags. Garden waste is a paid subscription (around £66 a year) collected fortnightly from a brown bin. East Sussex County Council handles disposal.
