The London Borough of Wandsworth collects general rubbish (black sacks or communal refuse bins) weekly, and mixed dry recycling (clear recycling sacks, or orange-lidded communal recycling bins on estates — paper, card, glass bottles and jars, tins, cans and plastics, loose) weekly. Food waste is collected weekly using a silver kitchen caddy and an outdoor or communal food bin, provided free to all households (borough-wide from 31 March 2026). Some blocks of flats with communal bins receive two or three collections a week. Garden waste is a separate service and isn't collected with normal household waste. Present sacks and caddies by 6:30am, or after 6:30pm the night before.
