Tameside Council collects the green bin (general, non-recyclable household waste) fortnightly, the black bin (glass, plastic bottles, cans and foil) every three weeks, and the blue bin (paper, card and cartons) every three weeks. The brown bin (food and garden waste) is collected weekly. The big thing to remember: in Tameside green is general rubbish and black is recycling, not the other way around. Present bins at the edge of your property by 7am on collection day.
