Stroud District Council covers Stroud, Dursley, Nailsworth, Stonehouse and the Gloucestershire villages along the Cotswold edge. Note the colour: here the green bin is for recycling containers. Refuse and recycling alternate fortnightly, with a weekly food waste collection.
Stroud's green bin is for recycling, with paper and card in a separate box and a weekly food bin on top. It's easy to muddle. My Bin Day texts you the evening before each collection so the right container goes out. Just £0.99 a month, no ads, cancel anytime.
Bin setup and collection days come straight from Stroud. You can also check the council's own page at stroud.gov.uk.
Stroud collects the grey general-waste bin (or beige bags) and the green recycling bin on alternating fortnightly weeks, with a weekly food waste bin (which also takes small batteries and vapes). The green bin takes cans, glass, plastic bottles, tubs, trays, aerosols, foil and cartons; paper and card go in a separate recycling box. Garden waste is a paid subscription (around £58.50 a year, brown bin or compostable sacks) collected fortnightly February to November. Gloucestershire County Council handles disposal via the Javelin Park facility.
My Bin Day is 99p a month — less than a coffee a year. Cancel any time by replying STOP to a reminder and you won't be charged again.
