South Cambridgeshire collects the black general-waste bin and the blue recycling bin on alternating fortnightly weeks, with the green bin (food and garden waste) collected fortnightly on the same day as recycling. The blue bin takes paper, card, cans, foil, glass, cartons and plastics. A separate weekly food waste caddy is being introduced in phases during 2026, after which the green bin becomes garden-only. Garden waste is a paid subscription. Cambridgeshire County Council handles disposal.
