Rugby Borough Council covers Rugby town and the surrounding Warwickshire villages. Refuse and recycling alternate fortnightly, and a new weekly food waste service launched on 6 July 2026.
With the black and blue-lidded bins alternating fortnightly, a new weekly food caddy and a paid green garden bin, Rugby's schedule takes some tracking. My Bin Day texts you the evening before each collection so the right bin goes out. Just £0.99 a month, no ads, cancel anytime.
Bin setup and collection days come straight from Rugby. You can also check the council's own page at rugby.gov.uk.
Rugby collects the black refuse bin and the blue-lidded recycling bin on alternating fortnightly weeks, with a weekly food waste caddy introduced on 6 July 2026. The green garden bin (a paid subscription, around £46 a year, fortnightly) can also take food waste for subscribers, as it is processed at an in-vessel composting facility. Note the garden bin may be collected on a different day to your black and blue bins. Warwickshire County Council handles disposal.
My Bin Day is 99p a month — less than a coffee a year. Cancel any time by replying STOP to a reminder and you won't be charged again.
