Recycling is split into two four-weekly (monthly) collections: the grey bin for containers — plastic bottles, pots, tubs and trays, glass bottles and jars, cans, aerosols, foil and cartons — and the blue bin for paper and card. Garden waste goes in a brown bin on a paid subscription. Note the local quirks: green is general rubbish here, and the two recycling bins come round only once a month, so keeping them sorted matters. Present bins by 7am on collection day.
