Hillingdon collects rubbish, recycling and food waste all weekly. Recycling goes in clear bags — paper, card, glass, plastics and cans all together — and garden waste is a separate paid service in green bags.
The London Borough of Hillingdon collects general rubbish (black sacks or bin) and dry mixed recycling (clear bags — paper, card, plastic bottles, pots and tubs, glass bottles and jars, tins and cans, all together and rinsed) both weekly, on the same day. Food waste is collected weekly in a caddy for houses with gardens and council flats (opt-in — sign up to receive a kitchen caddy and outdoor bin). Garden waste goes in green bags or a bin on a paid subscription. Present everything at the front boundary by 6am on collection day.
Bin setup and collection days come straight from Hillingdon. You can also check the council's own page at hillingdon.gov.uk.
