The London Borough of Haringey (with contractor Veolia) collects the black bin (general, non-recyclable household waste) every fortnight, and the green recycling bin — or green sacks — weekly (paper, card, glass bottles and jars, tins, cans, and plastic bottles, pots, tubs and trays, all mixed together, clean and loose). Food waste is collected weekly using an indoor caddy and a green outdoor food bin. Garden waste goes in a green wheeled bin on a paid subscription (around £90 a year), collected weekly for subscribers. Present bins and caddies at the kerbside by 6am on collection day.
