Fylde Council covers Lytham St Annes, Kirkham and the villages of the Lancashire coast west of Blackpool. It runs a four-bin service — grey, blue, brown and green — collected on alternating fortnightly weeks. From autumn 2026 the grey and brown bins swap roles and a weekly food waste service is being added.

Fylde currently collects the grey general-waste bin one week, then the blue recycling bin, brown paper/card bin and green garden bin the next, on alternating fortnightly weeks. From autumn 2026 the grey and brown bins swap roles (grey becomes paper and card, brown becomes general waste) and a new free weekly food waste caddy is introduced. Garden waste is a paid subscription (green bin). Lancashire County Council handles disposal.
