East Suffolk Council covers Lowestoft, Felixstowe, Woodbridge, Beccles and a large stretch of the Suffolk coast. From June 2026 it moved to a three-weekly refuse and recycling cycle with a new weekly food waste collection, delivered by council-owned East Suffolk Services.
With refuse, container recycling and paper/card recycling all on a three-weekly cycle — plus weekly food waste — East Suffolk's schedule takes some tracking. My Bin Day sends you a text the evening before each collection so nothing gets missed. Just £0.99 a month, no ads, cancel anytime. This information was correct at the time of writing; the council has proposals to change its collection schedule currently under review, so your service may be updated in future.
Bin setup and collection days come straight from East Suffolk. You can also check the council's own page at eastsuffolk.gov.uk.
Since June 2026, East Suffolk collects the black/grey-lidded general-waste bin, the blue-lidded container-recycling bin and the green-lidded paper and card bin each every three weeks, with a weekly food waste caddy. Garden waste is a separate paid subscription. Bins must be out by 6am.
My Bin Day is 99p a month — less than a coffee a year. Cancel any time by replying STOP to a reminder and you won't be charged again.
