Ealing keeps to a simple three-bin setup: a black bin for rubbish, a blue bin for all your mixed recycling, and a green caddy for food waste. Rubbish and recycling alternate week about, while food is collected weekly.
The London Borough of Ealing collects the black bin (general, non-recyclable household waste) and the blue bin (mixed dry recycling — paper, card, plastics, glass, tins and cans, all mixed together, clean and loose) on alternating fortnightly weeks. Food waste is collected weekly using a green caddy. Garden waste is a paid subscription, collected fortnightly in reusable sacks. Some flats and 'red route' properties use communal bins or clear sacks instead of wheelie bins. Present containers by 7am on collection day.
Bin setup and collection days come straight from Ealing. You can also check the council's own page at ealing.gov.uk.
Ealing collects the black (general waste) and blue (mixed recycling) bins on alternating fortnights, with a weekly green food caddy and a paid garden waste service. My Bin Day reads your council schedule and texts you the evening before each collection so you never mix up black week with blue week.
My Bin Day is 99p a month — less than a coffee a year. Cancel any time by replying STOP to a reminder and you won't be charged again.

No — My Bin Day is an independent service and is not affiliated with Ealing or any council. We simply read the council's published collection schedule and send you a friendly reminder.
