Dorset Council collects the grey rubbish bin (non-recyclable waste, usually 140 litres) and the mixed recycling bin (a black or grey wheelie bin with a green lid — paper, card, plastic bottles, pots, tubs and trays, tins, cans and aerosols) on alternating fortnightly weeks. Glass bottles and jars go separately in a small green kerbside box, collected fortnightly. Food waste is collected weekly using a brown caddy. Garden waste goes in a brown-lidded bin on a paid subscription, collected fortnightly. Some properties use authorised sacks instead of wheelie bins. Present containers by the collection time on your day.
