Coventry City Council collects the green-lidded bin (general, non-recyclable waste) fortnightly, and the blue-lidded recycling bin (paper, card, glass, cans, plastic) and brown-lidded bin (food and garden waste) on the alternate week. Garden waste in the brown bin requires a paid annual permit, though food waste goes in it either way. Don't use plastic bags in the blue or brown bins — bagged waste is treated as contamination and left. Remember: green lid is rubbish, blue is recycling. Present bins by the morning of collection.
