Never miss a Cotswold bin day again

Cotswold sorts recycling at the kerbside into several containers: two black boxes (one for glass, one for paper), a white bag for plastics and tins, and a blue bag for cardboard. General rubbish goes in a grey bin, with a weekly food caddy and a paid garden bin.

How Cotswold bin collections work

Cotswold District Council collects the grey 180-litre bin (general non-recyclable waste) fortnightly. Recycling is sorted at the kerbside into: two black boxes (one for glass bottles and jars, one for paper), a white reusable bag for plastics, tins and cartons, and a blue bag for cardboard. Food waste is collected weekly using an indoor kitchen caddy and an outdoor caddy. Garden waste goes in a bin on a paid licence (around £73 a year), collected fortnightly. Present all containers by 7am on collection day. Waste is managed through Gloucestershire County Council and the Ubico partnership.

Common questions

When are bins collected in Cotswold?

Cotswold collects the grey (general waste) bin fortnightly, with recycling sorted into two black boxes (glass, paper), a white bag (plastics, tins) and a blue bag (cardboard), plus a weekly food caddy and a paid garden bin. My Bin Day reads your council schedule and texts you the evening before each collection so you always know what to sort out.

How much does this cost?

My Bin Day is 99p a month — less than a coffee a year. Cancel any time by replying STOP to a reminder and you won't be charged again.

Do you handle bank holidays?

Yes. We track Cotswold's published schedule, including the shifts that bank holidays and seasonal changes cause, so your reminder always reflects the real collection date.

Is this an official Cotswold council service?

No — My Bin Day is an independent service and is not affiliated with Cotswold or any council. We simply read the council's published collection schedule and send you a friendly reminder.
