Central Bedfordshire Council collects the black bin (non-recyclable general waste) and the dry recycling bin on alternating fortnightly weeks. The recycling bin has a green lid in the north or an orange lid in the south, and takes paper, card, cans, tins, foil, plastic bottles, pots, tubs, trays, cartons and — since March 2026 — glass bottles and jars. Food waste is collected weekly in a caddy (extended to flats in 2026). Garden waste goes in a green bin or box, collected fortnightly at no extra charge. Present bins at the kerbside by 7am.
