Cannock Chase District Council (with contractor Biffa) collects the green bin (general non-recyclable household waste, sent to energy recovery) and the blue bin (glass bottles and jars, tins, cans, and plastic bottles, tubs and trays) on alternating fortnightly weeks. Paper and card go separately in a blue bag. Food waste is collected weekly in a caddy. Garden waste goes in a brown bin on a paid subscription, collected fortnightly. Note the local quirks: green is your general rubbish here, not recycling, and cartons are no longer accepted in the blue bin. Present bins at the rear of the footpath by 7am on collection day.
