The London Borough of Bromley collects the black bin or wheelie bin (general, non-recyclable household waste) every fortnight. Recycling is collected in two boxes on alternating weeks: a black box for paper and card, and a green box (or green-lidded bin) for plastic bottles and containers, tins, cans, glass bottles and jars, and cartons. Food waste is collected weekly in a caddy. Garden waste goes in a green bin on a paid subscription, collected fortnightly. Note soft plastics such as carrier bags and film are not accepted — take these to a supermarket. Present containers by 7am on collection day.
