Brent collects recycling and food waste weekly, with general rubbish every fortnight. A blue-lidded bin takes mixed recycling, a separate blue sack takes paper and card, a green caddy handles food, and there's a grey bin for rubbish.
The London Borough of Brent collects the grey bin (general, non-recyclable household waste) every two weeks, and the blue-lidded recycling bin (glass bottles and jars, cans, foil, aerosols, plastic bottles, yoghurt pots, food trays and cartons — loose) weekly. Paper and cardboard go separately in a blue sack, collected weekly. Food waste is collected weekly in a green caddy. Garden waste goes in a green bin on a paid subscription (around £69 a year), collected fortnightly. Flats use communal bins and clear sacks. Present containers by 7am on collection day.
