Ashford Borough Council (with contractor SUEZ, as part of the Mid Kent Waste Partnership) collects the grey bin (180 litres, general non-recyclable waste) and the green bin (mixed dry recycling — paper, card, mixed glass, food and drink cans, and plastic bottles, pots, tubs and trays) on alternating fortnightly weeks. Food waste is collected weekly in a black caddy with an orange lid, on your normal collection day. Garden waste goes in a bin on an optional paid subscription, collected fortnightly. Present bins by 6am next to the public highway. Only the 180-litre refuse bin is emptied unless an exception is authorised.
